free creative journaling workshop is an ongoing creativity workshop that i will be posting here on my blog. you are welcome to join in at any time and follow along at your own pace. for complete workshop info and catch up on everything that has happened, visit the creative journaling page. i do creativity workshops because i have found creativity to be an incredible force for my own healing, transformation and empowerment and i would like to share that with others. our creativity is our uniqueness, radiance and beauty, it is connected to our intuition and is a way to access the deepest and wisest parts of ourselves.
i am still working on my creative energy generator. i love taking my time with pages in my art journal, allowing the ideas to float around in my mind and re-arrange themselves as i work on it. however it turns out, i enjoy spending time playing with art and seeing where it goes. here is a photo from last night:
i wanted to get a shot of my art table and the huge mess i was making! this page wanted tiny bits of all sorts of different things; acrylic paints, watercolours, glitter, mediums, pencil crayons, wax, etc… having a huge selection of art supplies really does inspire me. i feel freer with a well stocked art room.
and here is a better shot of my page so far:

i discovered what wanted to be on the other page… a creative fairy goddess who waves glitter all about her and lets her heart spill out of her body. i love the idea of this sweet being floating around and believing in me.
i am still adding to my list and feeling really good about it. it’s so wonderful to see how many different ways my creativity is nourished and to know that i can make small choices all day long that will nourish my creativity. these small choices add up to create a huge flow of creative energy. how creatively inspired and motivated i am really is up to me. that’s a big part of this exercise, seeing how we nurture our own creative energy, we don’t have to wait for some external inspiration to be able to create. and we can always find new ways to nurture ourselves, allowing our creativity to grow and grow and grow.

Andrea, what wonderful work you are doing. I feel I am only now truly opening myself up to living a full creative life. And to think there are people out there like you, who want to help nurture that, is beautiful thing.
This is so utterly beautiful…I’m in awe of your talent…and inspired, too…
This is just what I’ve been needing to do…thank you for the guidance.
I guess instead of trying to figure out why I’m nervous about starting,
I just need to start! Maybe things will become clearer later…but either way,
sometimes, one just needs to begin.
Thank you, Andrea. I will keep you posted on my adventures in art
journaling.
I finally got my space somewhat organized so I can work in it. Thanks for pointing the way.
I just found your blog (through your tweets) and I am so in love with your creative journaling workshop, idea. I will so be following your blog now that I’ve found you. I am an avid art journalist so I thought I’d start here, at the beginning.
Thanks so much!
Peace & Love,
~Barb~
