the lovely and inspiring dancing mermaid has put out a video challenge. here is the challenge:
1.) find a line of poetry or quote you have written. scan your blogs, old journals, love letters, emails, etc. what pops out at you? if nothing is speaking to you, pick a favorite quote. open a book and find a line.
2.) pick a piece of music. (if nothing seems right, ask a friend for a suggestion. i randomly did this and it worked so well. trust it!)
3.) put them together
4.) link it here
i used my own quotes from my art room door, prayer dolls and art journal, put them together with (very rough!) stop motion animation and set it to michael franti and spearhead.
putting it together was super fun! i love these kinds of challenges. they are fun and playing and stretch me in new creative directons.
