i have been bookbinding! it is so fun. here i am sharing the projects i have made so far and my idea for a really fun project we can work on together as part of creative journaling:

isn’t this great? our own books. any shape or size, any kind of papers… there can be envelopes and secrets and pop-up pages and all sorts of things hiding inside them. and it is really not as hard or time consuming as i thought it would be.
i really love my idea of making our own daytimers for next year. or am i the only one still using a daytimer? i love technology but need a paper daytimer. i write/draw affirmations and reminders in mine, i journal in it, i write out who i want to be and what my biggest dreams are along with the mundane things like work schedules and meeting times and appointments. i love doing this, it brings together all of the possibility of what my life can be with all of the reality of what it is into one super cute book.

I really enjoyed the video. Not many realize what goes into book binding and this was very informative. I also agree with the idea that the paper planner is a necessity. I think you brought up an important aspect of using a paper planner – the idea that it doesn’t just have to be about your daily tasks, appointments, and schedules. Your planner can also be a great tool for sketching out ideas or recording your dreams – think of it as kind of an “adult diary” if you will.
