this week’s illustration friday word is wrapped. so i used wrapped as the inspiration for a creative journaling self-portrait. you can do this with any word, it is interesting to see how the word inspires the portrait. as i drew myself and sunk into the feeling of “wrapped” what came to me is this sense that we are all wrapped in goodness. and when we can relax into that goodness and love and support, we can stand taller and surer and relax about life and enjoy it.
i draw/paint in many layers. i took a photograph after each layer and made a short video showing how the portrait came together. the photos are all sideways because that is how i was working on it, my watercolour journal is so long i work sideways in it.
