i re-arranged my art room yesterday. it feels good.
i moved the orange couch out of there, and re-arranged everything. i found i don’t like to sit at my art table and face a wall. not even a pink wall with affirmations written on it. so i moved it so that i sit in the corner, facing out and can see the whole room.
i’m already feeling new inspiration breezing through this new space.
and when i was taking that photo of the butterfly and crystals on my window sill i remembered a dream i had eight years ago. to own a duplex with a great art studio whose window looked out over a fantastic garden. that dream felt impossible at the time but now here it is. i’ve got a beautiful duplex with wonderful renters living downstairs, a great art studio (plus a beautiful and inspiring rest of the house) and a fantastic garden. when the window is open in my art room i can hear the soft waterfall sounds from the garden pond below.
i’m living in a dream come true.
what dreams come true are you appreciating today?

I adore your rearranged space! I hope to have one of my own one day, too.
I like it!!! It’s vibrant and open, and I’m sure it is inspirational for you.
One of my little ‘dreams come true’ that I’m enjoying right now is my blog. I’m really enjoying that venue for writing and for sharing and connecting. What a joy!
I’m also enjoying being all set up for camping adventures…just hook up the gear to the back of the car and drive. I love that!
I love it! Creativity will happen here for sure
Today I am thankful for being able to stay home with my children. It’s a dream come true for me.
thank you
i’m sure you will find your perfect creative space at just the right time.

spottylover that is a wonderful dream come true
Wow, what a beautiful studio you have!!!! I’m inspired by just the photos!
The biggest dream of my life came true 2 years ago when my husband and I moved from MI to the South West where the sun shines all of the time.
The only dream I have going now is to move to a place where I can have a huge garden with vegtables and lavendar plants. I love your art and your space, it’s so happy and vibrant. I’m thrilled to have found your blog.
Andrea…It’s so great that your dream has come true. You have such a wonderful space…I can’t wait to see it again, now that you’ve made all these changes. i sense an even deeper opening of your vision…what with the new windows, and now moving your desk to have a more expansive view…how exciting!!
I’m enjoying the continuing expansion of a dream that I’ve had for a long time, too. I have always wanted to allow myself to let my voice out, and sing around other people, but for most of my life, I was just too scared. But, now that has all changed, thanks to you, and some other wonderful angels. Now, I’m singing up a storm, and it just keeps getting better, and more fun, and I keep allowing myself to take more risks, and let more and more of myself out. I love the part of me that shows up to sing, who I have affectionately named “The Ballsy Broad”. She’s very bold, and quite a diva. I never know what she’s gonna do next. She’s been waiting a long time to have some air time, and she is so grateful. And I am so grateful for her. Thanks for the opportunity to share that.
thank you lisa.
that is so wonderful tess, living where the sun shines all of the time. adding a vegetable garden and lavender plants sounds like absolute bliss!
robbin maybe you should come over for a cupcake tomorrow before karaoke. or maybe everyone should… now that the orange couch is in the living room instead of my art room, the living room feels like it is asking for a party – with all those comfy seats.
it’s been so wonderful to watch “the ballsy broad” in you come out and to watch you become more comfortable with your singing and your expression. you are a gift robbin. and look at all you have done to support all of us in our singing, taking it over when there was no one to do it. thank YOU.
when can i move in?
i can imagine skipping around that space singing at the top of my voice – it looks so invigorating
my dream i am living is being a creatrix with my girl on my knee.. and here i am!
jane, you can move in anytime.
oh! i want to move in, too! your home is so beautiful and inspiring and bursting with color.. thank you for sharing your photos – they make me so happy in an inexplicable way!
thank you so much ingrid. i plan to share more photos of my home… while i was studying interior design i developed a program for designing a room based on how you want to feel in the space, and how you want the space to support you, i called it visual affirmations, creating a space based on feeling instead of basing it all on looks. i love my home!
