creative visioning spotlight: linda

by abccreativity on February 1, 2010

i am going to be shining spotlights on some of people who are working with my creative visioning process, to show you what they are up to and how they are creating a path to their dreams come true.  it is so cool to see everyone working with the same material to create their totally unique and beautiful dream maps.  these are participants from my make it happen in 2010: creating a year of abundance, possibility and healing creativity workshop or people who purchased my e-guide version of the workshop create a map: a simple guide to creative visioning.

our next spotlight is on linda.  i know linda as a soft and shining soul with the voice and presence of an angel.  linda does not have a website to share, but does perform regularly in winnipeg.  If you ever have an opportunity to hear her sing – take it!

in linda’s words:

what dreams are you working with now?

I am currently working with my dream of having discipline. Specifically with regard to spiritual practice and exercise. I believe that it is a cornerstone to achieving many of my other dreams of health, balance, and loving parenting. I find it extremely interesting that this “cornerstone” was subconsciously placed into the corner of my map.

The second dream that I am really focussed on right now is about parenting my daughter and myself in a loving way. I have made it my biggest priority and have recently decided to take a bit of time off work to focus on this most noble of tasks.

what did you get out of the create a map process?

Instead of just making resolutions, this process of creating visioning allowed me to focus on positive goals, the associated feelings of having already reached these goals and dreams, and what I feel are the possible roadblocks to achieving them. In a way, the whole process was a bit emotional for me, but filled with a lot of excitement and hope. I was surprised that none of my dreams involved anything “material” but more about the relationship with myself and others. I also see a lot of my personal values within my map. Ultimately, this map represents how I plan to move forward in my life, not just in 2010 but well into the future.

how do you feel your map will support you going forward with your dreams?

I feel like my map has “heard” what my heart was speaking to me, and now it is all in front of me. It reminds me of why I identified those dreams, because of the feelings associated with achieving those dreams – it is not just a static list. When I spend time meditating on the feelings surrounded with already achieving my dream, I am catapulted into having my dream right now in this moment. I am also spending time meditating on the gifts I pulled to help me on my path to my dream, as well as the “bridges” over my identified obstacles (which I have on a separate piece of paper). There are a lot of resources identified on this map, and the more time I spend considering the map, the more I truly feel that I have all the resources to find my way to my dreams – AND that I have my dream now to some degree.

thank you so much for sharing your beautiful dreams linda.
