{creativity workshop} healing

by abccreativity on June 29, 2010

healing: relax into it

healing: relax into it

i am facilitating a healing circle workshop this weekend.  what i want to do with this is create a space where we can all relax into our own healing experience.

so healing is on my mind this week.  and when i think of healing what i think of is:

  • a luxurious and pampering spa experience
  • being in nature
  • feeling at ease in my body and in my life
  • a sense of renewal
  • transformational workshops
  • a cup of tea and an afternoon with my art journal
  • noticing the way the sun streams through the trees in the mornings
  • letting go

ahhhh.  the healing is in the letting go.

and the letting go opens up to

  • knowing that i am going to be ok no matter what
  • knowing that i am loved no matter what
  • knowing that all is well

absolute relief.

just in writing this out, it feels like a healing has occurred.

healing really is always there, patiently waiting for us to stop what we’re doing and notice it.  patiently waiting for us to stop being busy or angry or in denial or numb.  patiently waiting for us to stop blaming other people and outside circumstances.  patiently waiting for us to stop complaining.  it’s always there and will welcome us in the moment we make the choice to welcome it in.

it’s like little angels are everywhere all around just waiting to shower us in goodness and relief and nurturing and light.

and all we need to do is just stop what we are doing, and let them do their work.

this is very good news for me.  it means that there isn’t very much that i need to do to put this workshop on.  it’s the little angels who are going to do the work. and i have invited them all to be there.

for those of you who aren’t in winnipeg and can’t come to the workshop – how are you going to invite the little healing angels into your world?

ps – if you are in winnipeg and want to join, here are the details:

Being in Nature: yes. This is one of my touchstones, to step away from the illusions and reconnect to the Web of Life, to remember my Place in this Wonderful web…
Letting Go: ah. This is what I’m focusing on this fortnight – I let go, and then I let go, and finally I let go. I’ve been holding on to so much; it’s beyond time! ;-)

Co-Creating the New with you!
Blessed Be,
Victoria SkyDancer

I wish I was in Winnipeg, this seems right up my ally. It actually seems like a workshop I might put on too!
And to invite the angels in, I am going to write! And draw! And let them do what they do…

yah jo anna! writing and drawing is the perfect way to let them in. and you can be with us in spirit. enjoy!

Ah, I needed to see this.
Today was one of those days were “letting go” seemed nearly impossible.
It’s crazy how no matter how far you think you’ve run away from your “demons,” they can easily slip back into your mind & torture you.

But, yes..the healing is in the letting go.
THANK YOU for the reminder!

Hi Andrea!

I think this is my first comment on your lovely blog. I have been reading for a while though (that’s how it goes, isn’t it?)
I love that you consider being comfortable in your body to be healing. I am (mostly) comfy in mine but it hasn’t always been this way, and this has been a recurring theme through my week. So interesting.

I wish I could join you for a cup of tea!

thank you erica! yes – letting go is definitely easier some days than others.

hi nadine. i do slip in and out of being comfortable in my my body. i wish to join you for a cup of tea!

Andrea, so wishing that I could be in winnipeg. I’d love to attend a healing circle.
Through journaling I’m talking to myself about letting go of SO many things. Untangling patterns, re-working them, being mindful of not repeating them, trying to work on creating good habits- and keeping them up!

It’s a cycle. Sometimes I deeply feel I am going to be OK no matter what but then that feeling slips away and I have to be still again, let the healing angels back in to do their work.
Thanks for your comment on my ‘what it means to be safe’ post. Really made me re-think a lot of ‘stuff’ around that topic.
xoxo

ps I’d love to know what the ‘day job’ is that you mentioned?

abccreativity July 5, 2010 at 7:07 am

nats sounds like you are having your very own healing circle. i think healing always moves in cycles. i’m going to email you about the job thing…

Ooh your workshop sounded wonderful, I hope it all went really well. You have a beautiful voice and just reading over your words then has made me feel calm and centred. Also, yay for angels :)
