{creating dreams come true} having a plan

dream plan

it’s sunday – which means it’s creating dreams come true day. creating dreams come true is a free ongoing e-course and creative community to support you in living your dreams. if you are new, please feel free to join right in. the more creative dreamers the better!

this week i’ve been thinking a lot about having a plan.  about looking at where we are and where we want to be and what’s in the way and how to we get around what’s in the way.

because i do believe in positive thinking and magic and all this but i also believe in making plans, being practical and “git’n'r done”.

and when we bring this all together – creativity, magic, intuition, wisdom, practicality and plan-making – watch out!

that’s powerful stuff.

i do a creative visioning workshop about this and earlier in the year i made an e-workbook that people could buy and download to do this work on their own at home.

this week i finished re-writing (totally simplified + improved) the workbook and then turned it into a super-fantastic and magically powerful kit by creating a series of guided meditations to go with it.

so i have been spending my time immersed in this energy of combining dreaming and possibility and magic with bravery and planning and doing.

and this is potent potent energy.

the new kit is available now and if you feel called i encourage you to check it out and allow it to support you in creating a map that leads you to your dreams. i’ve really put my best stuff into it and i believe it is a fantastic support system for creating a powerful plan and then following it every day.

of course you don’t need the kit to create your own plan.  but you do need a plan to create a dream come true!

creative dream assignment: create a plan

what is your plan?  how are you going to actually make your dream come true?  do you have a schedule?  a timetable?  a delicious to-do list?  deadlines?  helpers?  let’s see it!

sharing your plan really puts your intention out there and you may inspire others with your amazing ideas. and you may receive inspiration by other creative dreamer’s plans.  when we share our dream plans we nourish each other.

creative dream check-in

also join us the comments below and let us know where your dreams are growing and flowing and where they’re stuck. also share any questions or ideas about this week’s topic, or just say hello. everyone’s dreams grow more fully and beautifully when we grow them together in creative community.

last week we had a creative dream dance party. how did you bring that dance energy into your week?

my check-in:

busy. inspired. enjoying every second of building my business.  even the moments that feel overwhelming are actually totally cool.

after many months of thinking about it – this week i bought whiteboard paint and magnetic board primer for my art room.  i’m creating a huge whiteboard for a planning area and a magnetic wall for playing around on.

looking forward to your update and being inspired by your amazing dream plans…

Hello Andrea !

Last week I was in a bad mood and I decided to offer a break to my creativity. For a long time I had not immersed me in a book and I read the first half of the Lord of the Ring. Now… After having done so much in painting, art journaling, and writing for two month, I don’t really know what I want to do. I’m taking a drawing course next week, so more technical than creative, but it will help.

I think the next week a new idea could emerge. Maybe I will do the exercises here from the beginning again, with the powerful meditations. Of course a plan will be of use after that, when I know where I’m heading. I think I went to fast and run out of fuel.

But thinking about “dancing”, I used movement to go take a big shower and go outside for the first time in 5 days for a long walk and a bargain market. Wishing you a smooth sun like here.

Hey,
Last week was literally a roller coaster of stress and emotions.
All i wanted to do was turn off from work, and “vacation” into art, reading, and other expressive outlets.
I havent done any of this yet,and its sunday, and im disappointed. But find myself too exhausted to put anything down.
I know id feel a heck of a lot better if I started something, but my problem lately has been starting things, and not finding time to finish.

Its frustrating that the ‘real world’ (ie work, chores, errands, etc) get it the way of my personal reflective and expression time.

Im hoping to get more in this week.

Ooh…creating (and sharing) a plan. That’s scary stuff. Brings me back to the scariness of sharing my dreams in general because now it will REALLY put it out there for all to see!

I have joined in the dance party a little bit :) I went for a consultation with my herbal teacher on Saturday (a trip that took me on an adventure to a part of the city I’ve never been to before, and it was sort of fun! People were so nice and I asked directions and felt like a traveler in my own city!) I was also given the assignment to move more…to dance…by my teacher. :)

I’ve had a fun week! I went to a minor league baseball game on Staten Island with a bunch of my co-workers and ended up volunteering for a “finish the lyric” game where we had to sing and it was played on the big monitor. And I surprised myself by having fun and not freaking out! I have video of it and am going to write a blog about it w/the video because it’s a great illustration of how I’m changing and getting comfortable with myself etc. I love how those lessons are given to us.

YES! This was exactly what I needed this week! We’re currently on vacation for a family reunion in Cape Breton (left on Sunday, headed back tomorrow), and I find that time away from home always refocuses me and recharges me…fills me with planning energy and inspires me to make all kinds of lists.

Yesterday night I found myself in the hotel room with a snoozing toddler and a good couple of hours to spare before bedtime. So I had a little room service and did some journalling (the Creativity 101 prompt combined with this assignment), and the outcome was a series of to-do lists divided by dream. I have more to do with them before we head home tomorrow, but I’m feeling really good! YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!
