i have been working very hard on ABCcreativity. i have worked my way down to 3 days a week at my day job and i’m getting ready now to take the leap into full time self employment. exciting! scary! and so i am interviewing super inspiring creative beans to gather tools, tips and inspiration from them. and i am sharing their gems here on my blog, every wednesday.
how awesome and inspiring will this be?
completely awesome and inspiring.
this is going to start next wednesday, september 29 with the always inspiring and wondrous goddess leonie. and it’s going to continue to feature a wide and wild range of amazing, inspiring creative beans who are living some pretty impressive and amazing creative dreams, including chris guillebeau, danielle laporte, mark silver, susannah conway, jamie ridler and so many others!
we’re going to learn about what they do now, what they were doing before they made the leap, how they made the leap, the fears + surprises that came up along the way and their advice for how we can make the leap also.
in hearing all of their amazing stories about how they’ve made their creative dreams real, i hope to inspire both me and you to gather up what we need, take the leap, and dive more fully into our dreams.
this is so important to me.
life is such a gift and such a miracle. i completely and passionately believe that we are not here to work at boring jobs and sacrifice our dreams and be less than we are. in fact – i think we are disregarding the amazing miracle that we are when we settle for less than what we really want.
we are here to live our dreams out loud in full colour. i know it’s not easy and i know that together we can find a way.
excited!

I made the leap seven years ago and it’s the best decision I ever made!
Good luck!

You are doing exactly what I want to do which is work for myself. Blessings to you and your new adventure.
I’m so excited!!!
Congratulations Andrea!
What an exciting adventure. And yay for your courage and strength to listen to your heart and follow the path of your soul. You are an inspiration!
Can’t wait to read these, thanks for doing this…
Another leap of creative thought Andrea! How interesting to offer the stories of others…where do you find the time??? I look forward to hearing their stories. You are a real genius, and no employer can provide the satisfaction of working for yourself. I know I worked for employers for too many years and made the leap of faith twice in my life by ditching my job and working for myself. I would love to share my stories too…
A great lineup of people! I can’t wait!
Congratulations on your own journey…….
First, congratulations!!
Second, I’m looking forward to these stories!
Just over a month ago, I stopped working the full-time job I hated and am now doing creative pursuits full-time. Wow. WOW!
yah!
thanks everyone.
!!!!!
The amazingness. You are interviewing SUCH inspiring people.
Also, the intimidatedness on my part. Cough.
I can’t wait to read the interviews, and also to watch your empire of sunshine unfurling!
xoxo
empire of sunshine!
oh i love that. thank you!
and ps – you are an inspiration.
I’m moving on from my full-time day job and I’ll be working 3 days a week for an old employer so I can spend more time focusing on my own business. This series sounds fabulous! Best of luck with your own leap!
that is exciting mallory! wishing you all the best with that. and your site is adorable.
This is a super idea!! I was BOOTED out of my day job (laid off) before I had the guts to step out voluntarily on my own. Never would have made the move voluntarily. Was SO happy for God to make the decision for me.
Sometimes I need that ole cosmic BOOT in the rear to move me in the right direction!
I admire those of you who make the leap of faith without the cosmic boot. It takes a LOT of courage, and a lot of faith – HOWEVER, I’m learning that our faith is REWARDED for taking that leap.
I’ll quote the old saying, “When God guides, He provides.”
God be with you and your mission, Andrea! You are an inspiration! :)
