Well hello first week of 2011. I have to say – you were amazing. Look at me, earlier this week, working in my cozy bed!

So this is what I am saying: There is tremendous opportunity in taking the time to check in with yourself and your dream. Just checking in and noticing what’s there. Being present. Exploring your ever-changing relationship to your dream. This is a new approach for me that has already had some pretty amazing results.

after today, there are only six more sundays in 2010! and the closer we get to the holidays the busier everyone gets. so this week we’re going to get started on our completion process for this year of creating dreams come true.
but first i want to say – the end of this year will not mean the end of creating dreams come true.

dress-up is cool and fun. it can also be a really powerful way of trying on new ways of being and exploring different aspects of you. you can wear things you would never wear. you can be someone else.
i have been working very hard on ABCcreativity. i have worked my way down to 3 days a week at my day job and i’m getting ready now to take the leap into full time self employment. exciting! scary! and so i am interviewing super inspiring creative beans to gather tools, tips and inspiration from them. and i am sharing their gems here on my blog, every wednesday.

this week we’re going to look at our dreams from a new perspective, because a new perspective can offer new insights and ideas. we’ve been doing a lot with our dreams! growing, working, opening, allowing, transforming. sometimes, living so closely with our dreams, we kind of lose perspective on them. stepping back and looking from a new direction helps us open up new possibilities.
we’re also going to get a little bit silly with this because too much seriousness can kill a dream.

last week our creating dreams come true theme was gratitude and appreciation. and oh my god i hope you better than i did with it! yikes.
when i write these creating dreams come true posts, i look at your comments in the last week’s post and i look at what’s happening for me with my creative dreams and i check in with my intuition for what we all need next. this week that answer is really clear: we need a rest!
but not a put-your-dreams-aside kind of rest. more like resting-into-your-dreams kind of rest.

last week we explored stuckness. which can be really challenging and hard. or it can be light and celebratory. and it may be both.
one really interesting thing i have discovered about stuck is that sometimes the stuck is hidden. and we get so used to it that we start to think it’s normal and that we’re not stuck. we start to believe in our excuses.
